Since the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta opens tomorrow morning, this shot of one of the "dawn patrol" balloons, glowing against the dark, pre-dawn sky, seemed appropriate. The "dawn patrol" balloons launch, prior to the main ascensions, to check out wind conditions and determine if it is safe to fly. This was taken at last year's Balloon Fiesta.
Great choice!! I have not ever seen a Balloon before - but would love to see one of those Fiestas - it must be just a beautiful sight seeing them all rise into the morning sky!!
